Welcome
to Listen Up! Vermont
With Listen Up! Vermont, your library is never closed. Download
audio books 24/7 from home, work, or anywhere! |
Dorset
Library Joins Service to Provide Downloadable Audio Books to Dorset
residents.
Dorset residents
are now able to go to Listen
Up, Vermont and find out how to download audio books for their
personal use. They can download two books a week to their computer
and/or MP3 player. Some of the titles may be burned to CDs for
your permanent use! This may be done from anywhere a person has
access to a PC computer – at home, at work, on a trip. Come
to the library with your MP3 player for a demonstration. If you
don’t own an MP3 player, the Dorset Library will lend you
one for 3 weeks. Visit the Listen
Up, Vermont website to learn more about this program. (Sorry,
this will not work on Apple products until sometime later this
year.)
Each
Dorset resident will be given a special number to access the collection.
Grade school and high school students will be able to access many
books they need to read for school including all the Dorothy Canfield
Fisher Award Winner books. Library patrons may download 2 books
at a time for a week. If they are only on your computer, you will
need to renew them after a week but if they are on an MP3 player,
they will probably remain accessible.
